Social Networking

During this weekend I was flip through outlook money magazine (printed edition). Interestingly there was on article about Social Networking and recommended few websites So i decide and registered website called Brijj.com / LinkedIn.com (Beijing People) the tag line appears that “Build a trusted online network and power your professional relationships for life” / “Build Your Network” respectively more over this websites promise that you can :

• Explore connections across regions
• Present yourself and your professional capabilities
• Get introduced to quality professionals through mutual connections
• Find unexplored business opportunities
• Get referrals to exhibit your skills and expertise
• To hire and get hired
• Find inside connections to close business deals
• Get noticed among an array of wide spread professionals
• Find and reconnect with colleagues and classmates
• Increase your client base and find prospective business partners
• Build a powerful network of trusted professionals
• Tap into inside connections and information
• Get the edge that gives you competitive advantage

Accordingly to Sanjeev Bikhchandani (from Brijj) Most of the people think that above website help you on recruitment (since lunch by Naukri.com) unfortunately people are missing key point that the site can be used to connect with people for many things –
• Sales leads,
• Career guidance,
• Employer evaluation by job seekers,
• Reference checking,
• Finding a vendor,
• Meeting people with common interests,
• Travel advice,
• Problem solving,
• Product recommendations,
• Demand aggregation,
• Finding old friends and acquaintances –

Whatever you need to connect with people for you can do on this or for that matter another networking site.

When was the last time you wanted to do something and you sought out advice or could have done with some or tried to find a contact somewhere or badly needed one. I face half a dozen such situations every week where I feel the need and cant fulfill it. And my friends say I am incredibly well networked. So Sign up and join our network.
